The websites that I design conform to web standards and are built with accessibility in mind.
What this means, in practical terms, is that they will appear similar in most browsers, such as Internet Explorer or Mozilla, and continue to do so well into the future. It also means that they will be able to be seen or read by a wide variety of people, even if they are using assistive software.
This allows you to reach the widest possible audience and avoid expensive upgrades.
I have designed the websites below using xhtml, css and javascript and both the xhtml and css conform to strict standards. The content management system Drupal, used for one of the sites, aims to meet those standards in html where possible.

Premier Windows & Conservatories Ltd. This website was designed to reflect the blue colours already used in the company's publicity material. The thin orange lines serve to give definition and contrast. The blended images provide interest and supliment product information without being too great a distraction. This website was created using xhtml, css and javascript. The cross fading pictures were achieved with javascript and in case the user has javascript disabled, a static picture will display instead. |

Christine Davies, Energy Healer The design for this website was provided by the client, so the challenge was to keep as close to the original vision whist providing a website that is both robust and accessible. The result is a crisp, clear and informative site. |

Cardiff Unitarians This website was designed to have a warm, welcoming feel. This is acheived with a light orange background reflecting the orange candles in the photograph at the top of the page. It also compliments the orange flowers on the Activities page. The general layout is similar to some other Unitarian sites, contributing to a consistent identity for the movement, whilst also expressing the individual character of the Cardiff congregation. |

South East Wales Unitarian Society A content management system was used for this website as it allows members to update their calendar, newsletters and other content themselves. Drupal was chosen because of the flexibility of design and application that it allows whilst still providing ease of use to the client. It also aims to adhere to web standards where possible. All content added during development was checked for web standards compliance. |

Wick Chapel. This site takes inspiration for its colours and layout from the natural colours of the sky and the surounding landscape. The style is more conversational than a commercial site and seeks to reflect the informal and friendly nature of the congregation. |
